Inspired Teachers

A story of two local elementary school teachers who challenge and improve their teaching practice through an innovative professional development program. Produced for the Center for Inspired Teaching.

The Story

Ben is a third-grade teacher at Brookland Education Campus @ Bunker Hill in Washington DC. Michele is a kindergarten teacher at Gladys Noon Spellman Elementary in Cheverly, Maryland. Over the 2010 summer, both Ben & Michele decide to enroll into an innovative professional development program to improve their teaching practice. After their initial meeting during the Center for Inspired Teaching summer practicum, Ben & Michele return to their respective schools during the 2010-2011 school year to bring new and challenging ideas to their classrooms and students. The film follows Ben & Michele on their journey from dedicated teacher to inspired teacher.
