6 Day — Crossroads

Through a six-day training, MHP teaching artists helped food vendors in the Crossroads Community Food Network farmers market tell their personal stories through video.

The Project

Meridian Hill Pictures teaching artists led six workshops for Crossroads Market staff and community members, allowing participants to create videos that told stories about each person's life story and connection to the Market. The videos feature the authentic voices of Crossroads community members and provide background on the rich impact of Crossroads Market. During the weekly sessions, MHP facilitators guided participating staff and community members through pre-production, production, and post-production to produce the digital stories. Each video includes one authentic voice performance piece from the community member with supporting visuals shot on location at the Crossroads Market by Crossroads staff members with support from MHP’s facilitators.
