Docu-series for the web + broadcast

We produce documentary series that tell people-centered stories in an episodic format ideal for the web and digital distribution. THE MESSY TRUTH WITH VAN JONES, co-produced with Magic Labs Media, is a three-part series focused on modeling honest, respectful dialogue amidst the divides of the 2016 presidential election. Through a collaboration with Chicago-based Kartemquin Films, we served as field producers for the DC Metro-area storyline for HARD EARNED, a landmark six-part series following families living on low wage incomes (aired on Al Jazeera America). Our series have been seen by millions of viewers and received national recognition, including two Webby awards.

In the last days of a painfully divisive election season, activist and CNN contributor Van Jones and D.C. filmmaker brothers Brandon and Lance Kramer teamed up to do the unthinkable: Head to a battleground state and listen to Trump supporters. The result is a moving, frustrating, and important look at what it takes to listen and engage across our divides.” (The Messy Truth)
